Dandenong Club is in four of the country’s biggest tournaments.
As part of the Club’s aspiration to develop our playing capabilities, we have committed to entering four prestigious tournaments in the lead-up to the next pennant season.
The calendar of events provides opportunities for our Club’s players to play against Australia’s best.
It enables us to reward our very best bowlers and developing bowlers with high-level playing opportunities and position ourselves as a club of choice for players who look to broaden their experiences as bowlers.
The following events have been identified as those providing high levels of competition and significant learning and development opportunities. They are scheduled for our Pennant offseason and lead into the 2024/25 competition.
Warilla Four a Side arrive at Warilla by Club bus on 7th April and depart on 12th April.
Victorian Bowls League qualifying at Dandenong Club on the 23rd and 24th of August. Finals at Traralgon (TBC) on 30th and 31st August (arrive 29th and depart 1st Sept)
Broadbeach Fives: Arrive on 2nd September and depart on 7th September
Dubbo Fours: Arrive 23rd by Club bus and depart 27th September
Accommodation and travel
Where accommodation is required, the Club will provide this on a shared basis. Transport will be provided to and from each event, and an allowance of $60 per day will be provided to each playing member of the team.
How to get involved
Expressions of interest are being sought from pennant-playing members interested in being selected for Dandenong Club Teams to play these events.
We have appointed a panel of Charlie Daly, Wombat and Chris Wallace, who will select the teams.
Playing members interested in being considered for selection should email Wombat at [email protected] with their name, contact number, and the event they are available for. Expressions of Interest should be received by 15 March.
