Thursday Night Winter 8s
OVERVIEW
- Competition is seven rounds
- 1st Round 11th April 2024
- Teams of 8 players (2×4 player rinks)
- Weekly Entry Fee $8.00 for each player
- $40.00 registration fee
- Matches will be 16 ends.
- No dead ends, jacks will be spotted on the 2 Metre “T”
- No jack rolling. The jack and mat will be placed however one of either the jack or the mat must start on the T
- No rollup however players may practice prior to play.
- 2 points will be awarded for each rink win and 10 points for a match win
- A match win will be determined by the accumulative score of teams 2 rinks
- $80.00 worth of club vouchers will be awarded to the best winning team each week on the night, to be determined by net shots up over both rink
- The team that finishes on top of the ladder at the end of the competition will be deemed as the winner
- Overall competition winners will receive a cash prize of $2000
- Players may change their playing positions at any time at the completion of an end, within their own rink
- There will be no interchanging within rinks each round
- Players must restrict their movement to the head. Players 1,2,3 may not visit the head until the competition of their 2nd
- Skipper must start the end at the head end
- Captains must exchange cards for rink match ups before the start of play
- Dandenong Club Bowls Operations Manager will have the final decision on any disputes during the running of this tournament
