Melbourne Pulse beats true
We are closing in on the first national Bowls competition for 12 months. 2019/20 was our team’s first attempt at the top end of Australian Bowls and we walked away encouraged but without the success, we were really after. Some off-field tweaking saw the Club recruit a new coach in Australian legend Mark Casey and Australia’s’ female bowler with possibly more upside than any other in Ellen Ryan.
Gary Kelly is coming off an extremely successful spring and enters this competition topped up with recent Gold Coast Pennant play with Burliegh Hammers where he has joined up with Pulse team-mate Barrie Lester. The chance for our” top guns” to play together more regularly will do the Pulse no harm as we look for ways to refine our BPL game plan.
Moama is located just 3 hours north of Melbourne and February weather is generally near the perfect time to travel. Plenty of Motel accommodation is available near to the venue and caravan parks aplenty. For those unable to travel, Bowls Australia will stream many of the matches played.
