This event is played at Dandenong Club with 16 entrants from teams of four players
The cost to enter is $100 per team.
The Cafe and Bar will be open on the day.
Prize Pool totals $2400.
The competition starts at 8:30 am. A presentation following the event is expected to occur at approximately 10.00 pm.
CONDITIONS OF PLAY
All Matches will be played under the current edition of the Laws of the Sport of Bowls, Bowls Australia Domestic Regulations, Bowls Victoria Rules for Competition and Conditions of Play.
1. Attire: Bowls Victoria Regulations for Attire apply.
Teams will each be allocated to one of four sections ( A, B,C,D) by the Tournament Director in a blind draw on Thursday 6th April.
2. A briefing will commence at 8.20 am for Sections A and B, then at 9.50 am for Sections C and D to outline the running of the day and conditions of play.
3. The event provides three games of ten ends for each team, then knock matches in a Semi-Finals and Grand Final format
4. Each match requires two rinks for each simultaneous play. To accommodate the 16 teams, each team plays a ten-end match and then has a ten-end break before playing subsequent games.
5. Re-spotting Jack. A jack displacement will cause no dead ends. The jack will be re-spotted under Law 56.5 and placed 2 meters from the ditch on the Centre line of the rink, and play will continue.
6. Restricting movement of Players. Other than changing over, the skip will only be allowed to walk to the head after their second bowl during each end.
7. After each game, skips ensure that scorecards correspond, and the winning skip will return both cards to the Tournament office outside the function room main door.
8. All games are to commence as soon as the scheduled time is reached.
8.30 am – Sections A + B Game 1
10.00 am – Sections C + D Game 1
11.30 am – Sections A + B Game 2
1.00 pm – Sections C + D Game 2
2.30 pm – Sections A + B Game 2
4.00 pm – Sections C + D Game 3
5.45 pm – All teams who qualify semi-finals
7.30 pm – Semi-Final Winners
9. The winners of each match will receive 2 points for a rink win and 4 points for a Master Board win. If there is a draw, they will receive 1 point for a rink draw and 2 points per Master Board draw. Sections will be decided on Points – Shot Difference – Shots For – Shot Percentage and then Ends Won.
10. Prizes are awarded for the 1st prize: $1600, 2nd prize $400, 3rd prize $200, and 4th prize $200.
11. The Controlling Body has the right to alter the conditions of play if necessary.
