Easter Carnival Pairs Event

  • 3 bowls per player pairs.
  • Each team will play 4 games in their pool (entries dependent)
  • If a team is drawn against a bye then that team will receive the average points gained across that round.
  • There will be a “2 bowl 2 end” roll up before the first end only.
  • All games will be a maximum of 8 ends duration or to the 60 minute bell.
  • Ends that have commenced after the bell has rung will be completed.
  • The end will be deemed to have been started once the jack has been set in motion. Not the mat being placed.
  • Each game will commence at the same time upon the starters instruction.
  • The lead bowler may not visit the head until after their last bowl, however they may follow their last bowl to the head.
  • The skips “may not” visit the head except to follow their last bowl. ( in other words be guided by your leads instruction )
  • Both skippers must leave the head and go to the mat end together after the completion of the leads bowls.
  • For the purpose of time conservation. Players are requested to keep their requests for an umpire to a minimum and only if absolutely required.
  • There will be no dead ends, if a jack goes out of bounds then it will be respotted on the T.
  • Jacks will not be required to be rolled. Jacks and mats will be  placed by the team winning the previous end.


Teams, please confirm your agreed scores with your opponent and give your completed game card to the organizer at the end of each game.


Scoring system

10 points will be awarded for a game win.

5 points each for a draw.

1 Point will be awarded for and end win.

The top 8 in each pool will progress to the final based on total overall points gained and then net shots difference if required.

Should a further countback be required this would be done by firstly total games won, then total ends won, then total shots gained.


Players will be notified as quickly as practically possible at the completion of the pool games as to who will progress to the final.

The top 8 teams in each pool will progress to the final and the top 8 finishes in the final will receive prize money.
