Easter Carnival Singles

  • 4 bowl singles.
  • Each player will play 4 games in their pool (entries dependant).
  • If a player is drawn against a bye that player will receive the average points gained across that round.
  • There will be a “2 bowl 2 end” role up before the beginning of the first game only.
  • All games will be of a maximum 10 end duration or to the 55 minute bell.
  • Ends that have commenced after the bell has rung will be completed.
  • An end will be deemed to have been started once the jack has been set in motion, “not mat being placed”.
  • Each game will commence at the same time upon the starters instruction.
  • No player may visit the head until after their 2nd bowl (which they may follow).
  • Players must spend as little time at the head as possible and not unduly delay play whilst assessing the head situation. Please do not waste time.
  • Players are asked to keep their requests for an umpire to a minimum and only if absolutely required.
  • Jack will be rolled and mats will be placed by the player winning the previous end
  • You may ask for assistance from marker in relation to head information” but not shot choice, or tactics”.
  • There will be no dead ends, should the jack go out of bounds it will be respotted on the T.


Players, please confirm your agreed scores with your opponent and give your completed game card to the organiser at the end of each game.


Scoring system

10 points will be awarded for each game won.

5 points each for a draw.

1 point will be awarded for each end won.

The top 8 teams in each pool will progress to the final based on total overall points gained and then net shots difference if required.

Should further countback be required this would be by total games won, total ends won, then total shots gained.


Players will be notified as early as practically possible at the end of each pool event as to whom will progress to the final.

The top 8 finishers in each pool will progress to the final and the top 8 finishes in the final will receive prize money.
