Tuesday BPL Triples – All you need to know
It’s a short form of the game for the serious bowler who loves the game’s competitive side. It’s all action and over in less than 75 minutes every Tuesday night, in two sessions. This competition is under lights, under cover and not for the faint hearted.
Session one commences at 6.00 pm
Session two commences at 7.15 pm
The basics
- The competition will be run in two sessions of 16 teams
- Each section is made up of eight teams.
- Three players per team any one night from a squad of four
- Team orders can be interchangeable
- Each player plays two bowls per end
- Five ends complete a set
- Two sets complete a match
- A sudden-death tie-break will determine a winner, should sets be evenly split
- The jack and the mat are placed at each end on one of two pre-determined positions ( short and long)
- Each team gets to have one power-play end per set. A power-play is where points are worth double.
- Should the jack be knocked out of play, it will be replaced back in a central position one metre from the ditch
Information for finals
- Session one (Sections A and B) Commences at 6.00 pm
- Top two teams from each section will play a Grand Finals Night
- Section A Winner v Section B Runner-Up
- Section B Winner v Section A Runner-Up
- Winners play off
- Session two (Sections C and D) Commences at 7.15 pm
- Top two teams from each section will play a Grand Finals Night
- Section C Winner v Section D Runner-Up and,
- Section D Winner v Section C Runner-Up
- Winners play off

- Prizemoney for Session One – Winners receive $1200.00 and Runner-Up $240.00.
- Prizemoney for Session Two – Winners receive $1200.00 and Runner-Up $240.00.

Team entry is $100. With no weekly fee
- Dandenong Club Bowls Operations Manager has the final decision on any disputes during the running of this tournament.
