It was another fantastic Australia Day held here by The Dandenong Club, which was enjoyed by all.
The side from Murrumbeena Park of Owen Manning, Dave Hickleton, Alan Jolly and Steve Lister claimed first prize of $2400 with a points total of 52 after a great three rounds of play in the morning session.
In 2nd place were Dylan Fisher, Mathew O’Brien, Mathew Creighton and Troy Stafford, who almost claimed first place in the last game as they required the win plus eight ends to take 1st place but only managed to win plus six ends which meant they claimed the runner up prize of $1200 scoring 50 points.
In 3rd place was the team of Brett Mahoney with a score of 46 points, and they claimed the $840 prize by narrowly failing to win enough ends in the last game to finish in second place.
In 4th place was the rink of Blake Nairn, John Fleming, Blair Davidson and Steven Tully, who won 2 games convincingly but were pipped on the last end of game two, which cost them first place, although they did walk away with $400 for winning round 4 best margin.
