Dandenong Club will be sending four of our best bowlers to contest the Gorilla Four a Side Invitational. This competition of just 20 teams has prize money of $44,000 and commences Monday 8th April and concludes Thursday 11th.
It is played in a three bowls pairs format where a win in each game earns two points and an overall win of combined scores from the teams’ two rinks earns four. There are 14 matches played with the event culminating in semi finals and a grand final on Thursday afternoon
Dandenong Club will be represented by Clark Wilson, Matt Arnold, Alan Veitch and Michael Stevenson. Britt Jago will coach and manage the team.
The club also plans to enter teams to contest the Victorian Bowls League, The Broadbeach Five a Side and the Dubbo Fours. It is part of our development programs aimed at upskilling our bowlers to equip them for higher levels of play as we continue our progression through Melbourne’s Pennant competition.
