We’re thrilled to share some exciting changes coming to the Bowls Premier League for BPL20 at Pine Rivers this year. It’s going to be a fresh and fantastic competition!
Two new teams are joining the mix – the Sydney Saints and Geelong Jets. This shake-up has stirred things up a bit, bringing in some new faces and even more international stars to the competition. Big names from the UK, like Paul Foster, Jamie Walker, Katherine Rendall, and Nick Brett, will be there. Plus, we’ll see some new and familiar local faces too, including Jamie Lee Worsnop, Brett Spurr, Nick Cahill, David Ferguson, and Kevin Anderson.
Our very own Melbourne Pulse is making its first change since BPL12. While Ellen Ryan takes a break for maternity leave, we’re welcoming Dandenong Club’s Samantha Atkinson to the team. Sammy’s no slouch – she’s ranked number two nationally and sixth in the world! She was the 2023 Australian Indoor champion and teamed up with Ray Pearse to become the World Indoor Mixed Pairs champion. Pretty impressive, right? You can learn more about the Pulse team here.
