Dandenong Club Bowlers & Committee, the DC staff, management and board are proud of Dandenong Club member and bowler, Samantha Atkinson, who will feature in a youthful Australian side set to take on the Oceania Challenge in November. She previously represented her country at the World Bowls Indoor Championship in Guernsey – where she would win the mixed pairs – and now faces a new challenge to lead for some of the best bowlers in the country as m a member of the Performance Pathways team.
A new addition to the club, she features in our 2024 Victorian Bowls League finalist side. Atkinson will also represent the Dandenong Club at the prestigious Bowls Premier League 20. In the week after BPL20, the Oceania Challenge will take place in Auckland, New Zealand and play host to various national teams from throughout the pacific.
She will play in the Pairs alongside Kira Bourke, and in the Fours with Sophie Kurzman, Kate Argent-Bowden, and Chloe Morrison.
The sky truly is the limit for Sammy and will cap off a fantastic year for Bowls, as she continues to excel in the green and gold. A great achievement and we are all looking forward to cheering you and the Australian Team on in November 2024.
