The 2024 BPL begins with qualifying events around the state that any team can enter. The winning team earns the right to be the 16th team in the main draw, playing the other 15 teams who have been accepted by Bowls Victoria as franchised teams in the VBL.

VBL Final Qualifier – 13th July (Hosted at Dandenong Club)
VBL Sectional Weekend 1 – 16th – 17th August @ Traralgon
VBL Sectional Weekend 2 – 23rd – 24th August @ Dandenong Club
